The Huichol work I have experienced with Jaichima has been one of unconditional acceptance and compassion with a commitment to assist individuals “of the human tribe” in personal and professional growth. Unlike a guru who seeks followers, Jaichima was dedicated to empowerment of each person’s personal path through gentle, firm and loving guidance and life-changing ritual.
In Jaichima’s final workshops, she made it clear she was preparing to make her transition and made it clear her work would continue, Rutury long designated to insure that continuance, something he is already doing with great effort and commitment. Understanding the challenges he faces, I am grateful that he is committed to carrying on this very important work in the world as many individuals from several states count on it.

Rutury has the wisdom to meet each person on her or his own level and gently point out the spiritual landscape around them.

Rutury has taught me to pay much less attention to 'the learned one' inside my head, allowing my authentic spirit to guide me. His drumming ceremonies bring an immediate sense of connectedness to all life as he shows the way with unconditional love.

I have worked with Rutury, a Huichol medicine man, for over 22 years. He has great integrity and kindness, working gently with each person to enhance their inner growth and healing in an unconditionally loving and sacred way. The drumming in the ceremony supports him in this process, connecting him with the heartbeat of the Earth and each individual. All who participate in this ceremony will benefit from it.

Rutury is a linage holder coming from a long line of healers from his Huichol spiritual tradition. When people drum or use their rattles in his traditional healing ceremony, they are participating in their own healing, supporting Rutury in his part of the healing, and are also helping others in their healing needs. The drumming ceremony helps connect us to our "You, You In You" which is the deepest most authentic part of who we are. This part of us is untouched by any trauma or suffering and is where all true healing begins.

Rutury is a Huichol spiritual leader who presides over ceremonies while providing insights into a metaphysical world not ordinarily encountered in our western culture. His drumming and other ceremonial rituals provide a link to the Huichol culture and create a path of healing and understanding.

Rutury shows such wisdom and open-heartedness in guiding each person on his/her individual spiritual path so that one gains a better insight into one's inner knowing. I am thankful for his kind and patient guidance.

Rutury and his sister-teacher have touched so many lives, and encouraged each of us through talk and ceremony and love to live life in accord with our True Selves. Such humanitarian dedication, creativity and the willingness to seek have come from their work together; and now Rutury's work as a solo artist, Medicine Man and voice for the Huichol elders.
Love to everyone,

My professional career path has been to study the healing traditions of other cultures to see what Western medicine and psychiatry have missed. That path rapidly led to an investigation of spiritual traditions, which are closely intertwined with healing in many cultures. I had an opportunity to meet many of the most revered teachers and leaders of many traditions including the Dalai Lama, Swami Muktananda, Rabbi Zalman Shachter, Mother Teresa, and many others. Of all those I met, the two who had the most powerful, most immediate, and most long lasting effect on healing me and others were Rutury and his sister, both traditional medicine people from the Wirarika tribe in central Mexico. I have now worked with him for 24 years and have seen him work in ways that are deemed impossible in current Western healing. He is a true gem as a healer and a teacher and would be a valuable addition to the program of any organization interested in deep and effective healing of body, mind, and soul.

Rutury is a deeply authentic healer. I have known Rutury for over twenty years. He is an amazing healer. Rutury has the innate ability to access the deepest crevasses in your mind, body and spirit. Upon doing this, Rutury very gently shares with you the steps you can take to heal yourself, and overcome your greatest obstacles. He has saved my life. I am so very grateful to Rutury for his gentle guidance and unconditional love!
Rutury's drumming ceremonies are deeply transformative events. You open up to who you truly are! I, along with many other dear friends, can assure you that Rutury's drumming ceremony will stimulate a wonderful healing energy inside of you. The healing energy Rutury creates through this drumming ceremony can lead you to spiritual, emotional, personal and professional breakthroughs.

Rutury, Huichol Shaman, comes from a medicine lineage of the Huichol people from the Sierra Madres Occidental in Mexico. As a lineage bearer he continues the healing work of his father, godfather, sister and his ancestors, an ancestry that goes back to pre-Spanish times. While carrying on his work through these ancient traditions, he meets each individual with unconditional love and respect for their unique path, encouraging and supporting each person's unique essence. One finds that being in his gentle and wise presence, windows to the soul open up, new ways of being in the world become possible.

When I first met Jaichima and Rutury it was at a Drumming Ceremony well over 20 years ago. That Ceremony changed my life forever. They both have worked with me on my healing, always insisting that I do my work for myself. And this continues with Rutury now that Jaichima has passed.
Rutury is a strong, wise but gentle Mara’kame. His integrity is above reproach, but HE is very approachable. He has taught me to visit my innocent self and reconnect with her in ways I cannot describe. I can without hesitation say that because of the unconditional love and guidance I have received from Rutury (and his sister Jaichima) that they helped me to save my life and see with different eyes. Because of Rutury I see and interact with the Human Tribe, and myself, in a more authentic and respectful way.
