Rutury and Indios Huichol are very grateful for those that came to the Blessing Ceremony at Sebastopol yesterday.

Those that helped to put together the Ceremony, the altar, the sales table, opening the room, placing chairs and tables..and much more, we are so thankful for your help.

And everyone who came and participated in the Ceremony, it could not be the Ceremony it was without you. Pam Pa Dios

During the Blessing Ceremony Rutury will be talking about Entities and how they affect us and others.  This is a difficult subject to describe accurately.  They are by definition   “A thing that has definite, individual existence outside or within the mind: anything real in itself.” [i]    We witness Entities in others and with some work, within ourselves. They can be positive or damaging.  Rutury will guide us though a short talk about how they affect us in our daily lives.
The photo with this note speaks on various levels about receiving and giving ceremonial blessings. These blessings help us to access those levels in a different way so we can see them with new understandings.
Please come and support the culture and the traditional Wixarika ways at our Blessing Ceremony.

A note from Rutury:

Que Tuma Aku. Greetings dear friends!!

To the Wixarika (Huichol) tribe, ceremony is a way of life. When we are born our family and friends gather to welcome us in a private delicate ceremony, and as we mature our ceremonies and beliefs become stronger and are enforced by the community and traditional Elders. I do not recall exactly how old I was but I do remember my mother and father teaching me that when you are in ceremony, you honor and respect everything. Now that I am an adult that belief continues to live deep inside me. When I first awake and open my eyes feeling the early breeze of the morning come over me, I thank the Creator for another opportunity and then and I begin to plan on my first ceremony.

For the traditional Mara-akame or medicine person, ceremonies have always been and continue to be a priority. Without ceremonies it would be like having the most gorgeous garden where there are no butterflies, bees or hummingbirds who can spread the pollen so the garden can become even more beautiful. I want you to understand me clearly when I say that there are no ceremonies that work like magic and can fix and eradicate any kind of emotional or physical struggle. What I am saying is that doing ceremonies will help you alleviate that inner feeling of unbalance that often leads us to unhealthy conclusions or habits, moodiness, or venting that unbalanced energy to innocent people or loved ones.

To me, ceremonies are real and have never been to entertain people. Ceremonies and blessings are delicate and should be taken seriously. When I do ceremonies for people, whether for an individual or for a group, my priority and intention is to re-connect the participant with their inner soul and ground them. If for various reasons I cannot attain that, healing can be challenging. I suggest that when you are receiving a blessing ceremony, you don't have to necessarily believe in me, but at least try to open your spirit and physical presence, and remind yourself to be that garden that receives impeccable blessings from the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds as their purpose is to do their ceremonies on you. My blessing ceremonies are always organic, there is no literature written about it, because all is Sacred and it’s all happening in the moment of the ceremony. When I bless you, you are also blessing me. That is one of many of the teachings of our world.

Looking forward to our next ceremony,
Rutury

egarding Sessions with Rutury:
It has come to my attention that there are people new to Indios Huichol who are not aware that Rutury does Sessions or what they are.
Rutury’s Sessions are in person or by phone.  He is dedicated to helping anyone in any culture who feels they would benefit from the methods that have been passed down to him through many years of rigorous training, and are continuing to be passed down to him by the Elders of his community.  He has been guided by the Elders of his community to represent his people in the wider world. He has been given rare permission to share his authentic and profound wisdom and knowledge of their ways of healing.
As a Mara’akame (medicine person) he listens with compassion and guides you with understanding and gentle firmness though your work.  One does need to understand that he assists you in this work, but the work on yourself is yours to do.
I find that when I do a session, being in Ceremony soon after opens up more for me, both from the Session and the Ceremony.  If you are able to do both I highly recommend it from personal experience.
His sessions last an hour and they run $90.00 per hour.
Rutury will be in Sebastopol CA doing Sessions in person on Friday Oct. 28th & Sunday Oct. 30th.  You can schedule your Session with Jan Peterson at janpeterson07@comcast.net   He will also be doing a Blessing Ceremony on Saturday Oct. 29, 2016 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Sebastopol Community Church located at 1000 Gravenstein Hwy North, Sebastopol CA 95473
