Nahwi here:
I can promise you this is not going be happening very often, two blogs in one day! I wanted to mention the Facebook page that Indios Huichol Inc. now has thanks to Kate (Nenewki). She has done a beautiful job with it. Please check it out when you have time! And while I have your attention, the holidays are coming and if you are needing gifts for loved ones, please consider checking out our online store on this site. Unique hand made items by the Wixarika People are in our store and for sale. If you have any questions please send an email to: [email protected] and we respond as quickly as possible. Also if you happened to check out the website right after it was online you may want to check the Events page, it was just changed to show the December Ceremony in New Mexico. Pom Pa Dios! Hello, this is Nahwi If you are reading this then the website is up and running! Welcome to Indios Huichol's new website. We have a bit of everything here, an Events page to keep you informed of the next event Rutury will be at, or if I have not changed it out just yet, that last one he attended. We have a page for Services that Rutury provides, a Contact page, please note the change in phone number for those who know us. We have a memorial page for Jaichima called Remembering Jaichima, because none of this would be happening if it was not for her. Of course we have a blog page, you are on that now. Oh My! How could I forget!!! We also have a Store page! Holy Moley.....I worked on that one for ages, how could I forget that! Please check it out, I will be adding things to it as we acquire more items. Every single piece in the Store has been hand made by people of the Wixarika (Huichol) tribe. I am stunned by the quality and beauty of the work they do. The best part? All profits go to the Wixarika people. We are in the process of doing some renovations at our Center in Cornville, Wirikuta Springs. The main house is going though a lot of new beginnings. Will be posting pictures here as things progress. For those who know the Center, it is responding to the loving care that Rutury has been giving it as well as Maka and Upali and a very generous benefactor. We are all looking forward to being able to open the Center to visitors in 2016. This is the status of the main house right now. Viewed from behind the Prayer Garden. I find it comforting to see the beautiful front door still there, even it most of the house is not! New beginnings are always a bit shocking.
